Bagatelles with Fantasies was commissioned by Xuefei Yang as the test piece for the 2020 Changsha International Guitar Competition. The piece is a homage to Beethoven to mark the 250th anniversary of his birth. The piece comprises fragments of Beethoven’s piano Bagatelles and string quartets interspersed with new material inspired by the quoted sources. Published by Doberman-Yppan DO 1362 © 2020
